![]() #AMAZON POPUP MESSAGE IOS 1BLOCKER CODE#In a blog post published Monday afternoon, researchers from mobile-security provider Lookout described how exploit code surreptitiously planted on multiple websites caused an endless loop of windows to be displayed in a way that prevented the browser from being used. The flaw involved the way that Safari displayed JavaScript pop-up windows. Apple patched the vulnerability on Monday with the release of iOS version 10.3. The scammers particularly target those who viewed porn or other controversial content. And, since 1Blocker is great and has few issues, it’s probably not actually necessary.Ransomware scammers have been exploiting a flaw in Apple's Mobile Safari browser in a campaign to extort fees from uninformed users. I’d prefer they do more frequent smaller updates but I realize not everyone likes frequent updates. The one downside is that sometimes 1Blocker updates aren’t as frequent as I’d like. To me, the noticeable speed of page loads and customizations are just a bonus. If you care about true privacy while you browse, this is the best option. I don’t need or want another subscription so a single $10 payment for 1Blocker is very much worth it to me. Some might not like this, but I actually prefer to have a one-time payment to get all app features. Worth it for the privacy, safety, and speed you get with this blocker. The best thing about this AdBlocker is that it’s made by indie devs who rely completely upon app sales, rather than a corporation worried about selling data to make extra money. ![]() It does have many different advanced options for peer users. This is probably the best and fastest AdBlocker you can get. I'm a stickler for intuitive usability, and I found this a bit frustrating.Īnd, I know this is devilishly difficult, but I would gladly pay an extra sum if there were a way to block Twitter ads.Īll in all, this app remains my gold standard for ad blocking on Safari for macOS and Safari for iOS. Perhaps I still don't understand the functionality fully. If I want to hide multiple elements on a page, I must know to click Save in order to be prompted to hide another element. It took me awhile to figure out that to hide an element in the hide interface, I must click the element once to make its background pulse, and then I must click the element AGAIN to actually mark it as the element I want to hide, before clicking Save. I hope that the Hide Element feature gets a little more love. However, I admire how this app works within those limitations to deliver a better browsing experience. I resent Apple's attempts to limit what ad blockers and other extensions can do to help a user. Many are good, but this app is consistently the better choice. I have personally evaluated every ad blocker I can find. I am very big on protecting my privacy and eliminating distractions. If you want constant payments for constant filter updates (which I’m not interested in), maybe, but disabling existing paid functionality deserves a ZERO Star rating.īut the cherry on this pie is the unwanted pop-up in my (ex) paid app ASKING ME to give you this review. I have been a paying supporter since 2015, had no issue paying for the new version in 2018, and would have happily continued with paid upgrades!īut as I just installed it on a new device, I find there is no “Restore Purchase” option anywhere, and instead this has been turned into yet another endless-payments “freemium” piece of crippleware! Rating updated now - under the assumption that filter updates will continue to be at least included once in a while with App updates. Thanks to Cloud Sync (enabled by default) seems like all my connected devices have then been updated as well. Go to Settings -> “Premium” even if you do NOT (want to) subscribe -> almost at the bottom, left is a tiny Restore Purchase link -> click & IGNORE PURCHASE ERROR MESSAGE(!): (re)enabling more than one filter should now work anyway. Issue hasn’t really been fixed as such but at least most of the functionality CAN be recovered: ![]() UPDATE: after running into issues following the devs’ reply below, I contacted them directly. ![]()
